Dr. Brenda Milner, recognized as a founder of cognitive neuroscience, has been elected to the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Milner, the Dorothy J. Killam Professor at the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) and professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University, is being honoured for her pioneering research in memory. Dr. Milner is one of 17 Foreign Honorary Members and four Canadians elected this year. In total, 213 leading men and women were elected to the 225-year-old academy.
