Most of the renovations at the McIntyre medical building are finished

Laboratories on the entire 8th and 9th floor, and part of the 10th floor, have been demolished and completely rebuilt.Ìý Brand new electrical wiring, plumbing, and ventilation conduits, new lab benches and efficient exhaust hoods were installed.

Completely new heating, ventilation and air conditioning have been installed on floors 7-14.Ìý This not only meets industry standards but boasts 100% fresh air intake.

A new main electrical entrance provides modernized and more reliable electrical services for this 46-year-old building.

Some work continues:

  • Balancing of the new HVAC systems has begun and may cause some noise and temperature fluctuations.
  • Finishing details remain to be done in certain renovated areas, including some of the washrooms. Thank you for your patience while this work is completed.
  • Areas of the 13th floor are still under renovation, as part of the CFI Li project, so some noiseÌýcan be expectedÌýin nearby areas.ÌýWe apologize for any disruption.
