She was presented with the award at a ceremony held on 16 February. The day prior, she delivered the lecture associated with her award, entitled "De la mĂ©taphore Ă la mĂ©moire: Restituer l’histoire de l’esclavage dans les dĂ©bats sur les formes contemporaines d’esclavage."Â

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that, on 25 November, Professor FrĂ©dĂ©ric MĂ©gret received an honorary doctorate from the University of Copenhagen at a ceremony followed by a reception with Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II as special guest. Professor MĂ©gret had delivered his lecture associated with the award, entitled “Roaming Rights and Global Mobility,” at the Faculty of Law of the University of Copenhagen the day prior. Â

As of Thursday, December 1, McGill students are able to access the Nahum Gelber Law Library 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As agreed between the Students' Society of McGill University (SSMU) and the Law Students Association (LSA), the Nahum Gelber Law Library will limit access to the three upper floors of the library to Law students only during the December 7 to 21 examination period.

The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Professor Adelle Blackett, FRSC, Ad E, has received an honorary doctorate of laws (LLD) from Queen’s University. She gave the commencement address at one of the University’s Fall Convocation ceremonies on 11 October. Â
“A prolific, world-class scholar in labour law and its interface with trade, [Adelle Blackett] is a key thinker behind the emerging field of transnational labour law, foregrounding decolonial approaches,” Queen’s University highlighted upon sharing the news of the award. Â
