Description : Cycling in cities is becoming a major mode of transport deserving attention from the public as well as policy makers. Nevertheless, given the contested nature of city streets, urban cycling comes with a significant share of sometimes life-threatening challenges. During this one-day workshop, we will present research undertaken by Transportation Research at McGill (TRAM) into the types of cyclists in Montreal and their needs, safety issues related to bicycle parking in Montreal, and Bixi usage and bicycle-transit integration opportunities. We will also look at international solutions to addressing challenges to urban cycling and will consider how Montreal could learn from these examples.

Tous les séminaires sont donnés en anglais.
