CEO 脡ric Lachance is guiding 脡nergir toward a greener future
The future of energy needs to be flexible, according to 脡ric Lachance (BCom鈥�96), the CEO of 脡nergir. The company is seeking to replace natural gas with renewable energy generated by hydro, solar and wind. But the alternatives need to fit the situation. Quebec鈥檚 short winter days could make wind a better option than solar, says Lachance.
This is only one of the many factors that factor into the CEO鈥檚 decision-making, and Lachance relies on his McGill education to interpret this information. He chose to study economics and finance, and this combination has helped him develop a fuller sense of how these factors can impact a business.
