McGill-led MiXR platform will connect Canada’s food and beverage sector
Thousands of restaurants and retailers across Canada sell food and beverages, and the logistics of getting these products where they need to be are complex. A new platform is using data to make it all more efficient. Led by Professor Laurette Dubé, Scientific Director of the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics (MCCHE), MiXR will optimize resources throughout the food and beverage sector. To do this, McGill is partnering with the University of Ottawa, industry associations, and technology companies, including the McGill-based startup Logiciel Plannica, founded by Professor Mehmet Gumus. MiXR will connect people in the sector, and help them locate suitable partners, suppliers, potential customers, and experts that can help their business grow.
