Published: 23 September 2020

Only two years since the program launched in 2018, the Master of Management (MMA) program at McGill University has carved a spot in the top 10 business analytics programs in the world and taken the top spot in Canada.

Released today, the QS World University Rankings places the McGill MMA 10th in the QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2021.

“The validation from the respected QS group is a testament to all the hard work of our incredible students, dedicated professors, clients and MMA team,” says Program Director Shoeb Hosain. “We’re extremely proud of the achievement, and look to continue to push boundaries in the analytics spectrum.”

Academic Director Mehmet Gumus adds: “With its experience on both solid technical foundation and business applications through experiential learning, the Master of Management in Analytics program at McGill University bridges the gap between data science and various business functions and prepares its graduates to make a real-world impact.”

This year’s QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings were informed by five indicator groups: employability, alumni outcomes, value for money, thought leadership, and class and faculty diversity. Of these five criteria, the MMA program performed strongest in:

  • Employability (1st in Canada, 7th in the world)
  • Alumni outcomes (1st in Canada, 8th in the world)
  • Value for money (1st in Canada)
  • Diversity (1st in Canada)
