BCom students place 1st at Canadian LâOrĂ©al Brandstorm Competition
After competing against over 80 teams from universities across Canada, BCom students Sean Finnell, Jaylen Ghadia and Thanin Tabuteau have won the national L'Oreal Brandstorm competition. Sean, Jaylen and Thanin will head to Paris to represent Canada at the international Brandstorm competition this summer.Â

Desautels BCom team places 1st in Quant at 2014 Rotman International Trading Competition
Desautels BCom students Ethan Zhang, Jeremie Guay, Chris Lim, Yusu Zheng, Nikolas Sinnhuber and Sameer Rizvi, won 1st place in Quantitative Outcry at the 2014 Rotman International Trading Competition (RITC) held February 20 to 22. The RITC is an annual event hosted by the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto.
Brother-Sister Combination Strong on the Court â and in the Classroom
When it comes to combining both sport and academic achievement it is hard to top Simon and HĂ©lĂšne Bibeau, siblings who attend Montrealâs McGill University.
Simon Bibeau, 22, is the starting point guard for McGillâs menâs outfit, the two-time Quebec conference champion who will lead the sixth-ranked Redmen into the Canadian Interuniversity Sport menâs basketball championship, beginning Friday in Ottawa.

Their modus operandi: investing other people's money. Since 2008, students have been running a registered fund management firm called Desautels Capital Management that has about $3 million in assets.
McGill 'Hot Cities' Business/Field Trip Expands Horizons
A McGill management professor is leading students on a business field trip that will give them global experience. Called the âHot Citiesâ tour, professor Karl Moore is taking students to emerging and developing countries to more about other economies.

This Reading Week, a group of students from the faculties of Management, Arts, Education, and Engineering will travel to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Seoul, South Korea to experience business within rapidly emerging markets. Their journey, the sixth Hot Cities of the World Tour, will be led by Desautels Professor Karl Moore.
