Construction Start: Life Sciences Complex - address water leaks in curtain wall
McGill University has mandated F.A.M.G. Contractors to carry out the following project: 14-140 Life Sciences Complex – Address water leaks in curtain wall.
The work consists of stripping the outer layer of the wall of the mechanical shaft at room 140. The wall will remain stripped for a short period of time to complete the survey before proceeding with reconstruction.
This is the first phase of the project that soon will address the repair of damages in the mechanical shaft at room 140.

Scope of work:
The work consists of:
- Relocating the lockers in the work zone to an adjacent zone in the main corridor of the first floor
- Erection of a SAS to separate the work zone from other spaces accessible to users
- Stripping the outer layer shell of the shaft wall and clean the area
- Surveying the current status of the wall by the professionals
Impact and mitigation:
This project will impact only the users of the lockers in the work zone at the changing room 140. The lockers will be relocated to the corridor near the doors of rooms 144 and 146.
