Mina Zeroual

Mina ZeroualMINA ZEROUAL, MD, M.Ed is an Assistant Professor of Anatomical Sciences within the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Faculty of Medicine and Health sciences and a Course Director, Physician Apprenticeship (I, II, III, & IV) at Campus Outaouais. She is a French leader in anatomy/histology and embryology at McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. She brings nearly 24 years of clinical experience as a medical doctor (1994) specialized in general surgery ( 2000) at the Faculty of Hassan II in Casablanca, Morocco. Her academic training, including a master’s degree in education for Health Professionals from the University of Ottawa, and her work in a Canadian university setting for over twelve years, has given her strong skills in medical education. she is deeply engaged in the success of the MDCM Program at Outaouais Campus. Furthermore, she actively collaborates with her counterparts who are based in Montreal. Dr. Zeroual is also an attentive teacher who tirelessly attends to the quality of her teaching, the teaching materials used and resources available to the students—all with the goal of assuring their thorough comprehension of anatomy and histology. She has been honored by McGill University's Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on several occasions (Ex. Word Teaching Day 2021: . She has a particular interest in the advancement of educational research.   • Developing conceptual frameworks for medical education.
  • Developing new Anatomy strategies teaching.
  • Students' engagement in the anatomy laboratory and the development of CanMEDS competencies.
  • Resilience and coping strategies among Canadian students
  • Neer peer anatomy teaching to reduce students' anxiety and improve their anatomy learning.
  • Exploring new dissection strategies using different embalming techniques to provide the best anatomy teaching. (Ex. Recurrent laryngeal nerve education).
