Eligbilitiy Established by Philip Vineberg for the purpose of enabling a student of academic distinction to pursue studies towards a graduate degree in Economics at McGill University. Awarded by the Department of Economics.
Value $1,200; renewable for a second year subject to high academic performance

Rathlyn Foundation Fellowship in Economics

Established in 2023 by the Rathlyn Foundation.

Eligbilitiy Awarded on the basis of academic merit by the Department of Economics within the Faculty of Arts to one or more PhD students entering or enrolled in the Department of Economics.

The Doug Purvis Foundation Prize in Economic Policy

Established in 2004 by the Doug Purvis Foundation as part of a national program of student awards.

Eligbilitiy To be awarded to the graduating student in the Honours Program, Department of Economics, Faculty of Arts, who received the highest grade in an upper-level required course dealing with advanced economic theory and policy. In the case of a tie, the scholarship will be awarded to the student with the highest Grade Point Average in all economics courses. Awarded by the Faculty of Arts Scholarships Committee on the recommendation of the Department of Economics.
