Working and Living with AI: A Deflationary yet Cautionary View
Joceyn Maclure, FRSC, is full professor of philosophy and Jarislowsky Chair in Human Nature and Technology at McGill University. His current work focusses on the speculative and practical questions raised by artificial intelligence, and on the impacts of digital technologies on truth, reason and democracy. His recent research appeared in journals such as Minds & Machines, AI & Ethics and AI & Society. He was the president of the Quebec Ethics in Science and Technology Commission (2017-2024), and Mercator Visiting Professor for AI in the Human Context at the University of Bonn (2023).
