This specialization offers students specialized training in the theoretical and applied aspects of wildlife ecology with emphasis on management and conservation of vertebrate animals. Students are exposed to a range of disciplines complementary to the field of wildlife biology including botany, economics, law, genetics, physiology, forestry, and soil science. By selecting appropriate complementary courses, the program meets the professional certification requirements of The Wildlife Society which creates opportunities in the United States market.
