Biography: 

As a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, Thierry Benaroch, MD, has been a part of Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada for the past 27 years. He is committed to realizing its mission. In January 2021, Dr. Benaroch was nominated as Chief of Staff and associated with this nomination he also became Head of Division of pediatric orthopedics at McGill University.
Dr. Benaroch has also been site pediatric orthopedic site director at The Montreal Children’s Hospital of the McGill University Health Center since 2013 and since his appointment as Chief of Staff of Shriners Hospitals, he has taken the role of Division Director of Pediatric Orthopedics at McGill University. In addition, Dr. Benaroch was the Program Director of the McGill Orthopaedic Residency Program from 2013-2021 and is an Associate Professor of Surgery at McGill University. He is actively involved in medical education and is regularly invited as a guest lecturer at national conferences. He is the recipient of several teaching and leadership awards, including being the inaugural recipient of the Program Director Leadership Award for the Division of Orthopedic Surgery, McGill University, Faculty of Medicine, Office of Postgraduate Medical Education in 2017.

His clinical interests include cerebral palsy, foot disorders, and developmental dysplasia of the hip and traumatic conditions. His clinical research focuses on hip dysplasia, club feet and certain traumatic conditions.
