Orlowski Lab publishes paper in Nature Communications
Congrats to the Orlowski Lab on their recent paper published in Nature Communications entitled "Structure and mechanism of the human NHE1-CHP1 complex."
The paper was done in collaboration with a structural research group in China headed by Dr. Yan Zhao on the cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) structure of the Human Na+/H+ exchanger NHE1 isoform in a complex with one of its interacting partners, the calcineurin B-homologous protein 1 (CHP1). This is the first high resolution structure of a human Na+/H+ exchanger, an ion transporter the Orlowski Lab has been studying for the last 30 years. Great work, team!
