Dr. Angelica Galante, Assistant Professor in Language Education at the Department of Integrated Studies in Education and Director of the Plurilingual Lab, has been appointed President of the Canadian Association of Applied Linguistics/L’Association canadienne de linguistique appliquée (ACLA). Collaboratively with the executive team, Dr. Galante will look at short and long-term strategic goals to advance and enhance knowledge mobilization of language education and applied linguistics research at national and international levels. One of her main priorities is to establish sustainable Equity, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives for ACLA members and the community at large.
