Overview

History : The transition from medieval Scholastic medicine to its early modern successor during the period 1500 - 1700CE will be examined through the analysis of primary sources in translation, and modern historical scholarship.

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2013-2014 academic year.

  • Prerequisite: HIST 349

  • Priority is given to students in Honours History, students registered for the Minor in Social Studies of Medicine, and graduate students in History, Medical Anthropology, and Medical Sociology
