Overview

Performance : This seminar focuses on the development of skill in the leadership and accompaniment of hymns, the accompaniment of sung psalmody (particularly Anglican and Gregorian), and the conducting of choral music while accompanying at the organ. Additionally, regular instruction in techniques of improvisation will focus in particular upon hymn introductions and free accompaniments.

  • 2. Students must register for both MUPG 575D1 and MUPG 575D2.

  • 3. No credit will be given for this course unless both MUPG 575D1 and MUPG 575D2 are successfully completed in consecutive terms.
