Program Requirements

Ce programme de 60 unités donne aux Algonquins, Cris, Inuits, Micmacs, Mohawks et Naskapis la formation nécessaire pour devenir des enseignants qualifiés. Il est offert à temps partiel dans les communautés autochtones du Québec, en collaboration avec la Commission scolaire crie, la Commission scolaire Kativik et d’autres administrations scolaires micmaques, mohawks et algonquines, par exemple.

Les diplômés de ce programme obtiennent un brevet d'enseignement, délivré par le ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS) du Québec, pour enseigner au niveau primaire dans les écoles des Premières nations et des Inuits.

Les étudiants qui satisfont aux exigences du certificat peuvent présenter une demande d'admission au Baccalauréat en sciences de l'éducation – Enseignement préscolaire et primaire – Études des peuples des Premières nations et des Inuits ou au Baccalauréat en sciences de l'éducation pour les enseignants titulaires d'un brevet d'enseignement et peuvent discuter de la reconnaissance des équivalences avec le conseiller au programme.
