Overview

Islamic Studies : Reading of texts of a variety of topics on Persian language, culture, history, geography, religion, and literature, including brief biographies of prominent poets and their most representative poems. Persian literary canon, the higher order registers used in the language of poetry and prose. Reading of a variety of media texts including newspapers published in Iran (EttelÄ’Ät, KeyhÄn, Sharq, E’temÄd, IrÄn, and MardomsÄlÄri).

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2021-2022 academic year.
