Biography:

Dr. Derek Rosenzweig is an Assistant Professor with a research focus on bone and soft tissue metastases. His clinical interests lie in the treatment of metastases, and his research is centered on tissue repair and regeneration following tumor resection, with a particular emphasis on developing advanced solutions in tissue engineering. His innovative work also explores drug delivery systems, low-cost 3D printing, bioprinting, and the creation of 3D models to study tumor and trauma tissue microenvironments.

Dr. Rosenzweig received his doctoral training at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Department of Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology, where he studied from 2002 to 2008. Following his PhD, he pursued postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Miami (2009-2010) and McGill University (2010-2013). He further advanced his research career as a Research Associate at McGill University from 2014 to 2017, honing his expertise in innovative tissue engineering techniques and therapeutic approaches.
