Biography: 

Dr. David A. Koppel is an esteemed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Associate Professor with extensive expertise in craniofacial surgery. He serves as the Associate Division Co-Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Glasgow. Dr. Koppel holds multiple advanced degrees, including B.D.S., M.B.B.S., and several Fellowships with the Royal Colleges of Surgeons. He completed specialist training in the West of Scotland and general surgery at St Thomas’s and St Bartholomew’s Hospitals in London. 

Dr. Koppel has held notable roles, including Consultant Craniofacial/Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and Clinical Director at the Royal Hospital for Children. He led the Scottish National Craniofacial Service for Children & Young People. 

With a strong academic presence, Dr. Koppel has authored chapters in renowned surgical texts and contributed to research on craniofacial and cleft lip/palate anomalies. His work spans numerous published articles in prestigious journals, focusing on advanced craniofacial conditions and surgical techniques. Dr. Koppel’s clinical and academic contributions have made him a leader in his field, with a career dedicated to improving patient care and advancing surgical practices.
