Prof. Jake Barralet BEng (Hons) Leeds, PhD University of London performed Postdoctoral studies at Tokyo Dental and Medical University. He worked for Smith and Nephew before starting his academic career at the University of Birmingham. He is Vice Chair (Research), Alan Thompson Chair in Surgical Research, Department of Surgery, Research Director, Division of Orthopaedics, Associate Director SIS Program at RIMUHC, and Director of Innovation for the Steinberg Centre for Simulation and Interactive Learning and Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. He is a Professor in the Department of Surgery and is joint appointed with Faculty of Dentistry. He researches material-mediated tissue regeneration focusing on the effect of inorganic ions on bone and skin.Ìý
