I am a health outcomes scientist with a passionate interest in addressing research questions to support evidence-based surgical care. My career has been built on over 15 years of research training in prestigious institutions in Brazil (Federal University of Sao Paulo), Australia (Melbourne University) and Canada (McGill University). This academic journey has provided me with an excellent foundation of relevant qualitative and quantitative research skills to support my current research endeavors. I have published extensively in the fields of surgery and outcome measurement, delivered presentations to audiences worldwide, participated in the development of multiple guidelines, and accrued significant grant funding to support my research.Â
