Joining one of McGill’s many clubs is a good way to (informally) take advantage of the university’s opportunities and to learn by doing.
Many clubs on campus are affiliated to the SSMU or to a faculty. You can find them by attending activities night or by checking out our student societies' websites.
There are a range of extracurricular activities that you can do outside of classes and still learn a lot from: they range from volunteering to case competitions!

myInvolvement
McGill students have access to an online portal (myInvolvement) where they find out-of-classroom learning opportunities, and view their participation on their co-curricular record (CCR). The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) is an official attestation of a student’s participation in learning activities outside the classroom at McGill University (e.g. volunteering, Skills21 workshops, and student leadership positions).
