NICOLE VENTURA, MSc, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Anatomy in the School of Kinesiology and Health Sciences, Faculty of Health, at York University in Toronto, Ontario. She is also an Affiliate Member of the Institute of Health Sciences Education at McGill University.
Dr. Ventura completed her graduate studies at Queen’s University, specializing in anatomy teaching and basic science research, with a focus on the developmental origins of cardiovascular disease. At York University, she teaches advanced regional anatomy courses to kinesiology students and anatomy and physiology to nursing students.

Current Research Interests: health sciences education, with a particular focus on assessing innovations in anatomy education within health sciences curricula. She investigates health professional students' reflections on anatomy laboratory experiences and explores anatomy learning using qualitative and mixed methods approaches.
