New online submission form for eScholarship
The McGill Library has added another mechanism for campus researchers to deposit to the open access eScholarship digital repository, an online form.

Group study tables (updated April 5, 2021)
Students can book a group study table on the 3rd floor of the Redpath Library Building from 12PM-4PM (Monday to Friday). Tables are available for Groups of 2, 3, and 4 people.

EndNote 20 has arrived! Installers for both Mac and PC are available on the Library's citation guide as well as the University's IT Knowledge Base.

McGill Library and Sage: Open access agreement for McGill authors
The McGill聽University聽Library is happy to announce an agreement between the聽Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN)聽and聽Sage聽Publications聽which will provide more聽open access聽options for McGill authors.聽
As of January 2021, McGill corresponding authors publishing with Sage Choice journals* will have the option to make their work made open,聽at no cost.听听
Modification to UpToDate landing page over EZproxy
In order to provide users with an integrated CME (Continuing Medical Education) option as well as ensuring the latest security for our proxy server access, McGill and UpToDate will be slightly modifying the landing page for UpToDate via EZproxy starting on February 1, 2021.
Update: Automatic renewal issue for a portion of items due January 11
Update (January 14, 2021):
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Library extended all loans due during the campus shutdown to January 11, 2021. On this date, most loans for accounts in good standing we rolled into the new loans policy (automatic聽renewal聽every 30 days). Some loans did not automatically renew for accounts in good standing and the Library is working to address this issue.聽

As of 2021, an unlimited, automatic thirty-day renewal policy will be applied to most items. All聽checked out items have been renewed to聽January 11, 2021, and will automatically be renewed for 30 days after that. Please note that:
- materials will be renewed automatically as long the account is in good standing

Redpath Study Hubs open Sundays during exam period
The Redpath Study Hub will be open on Sundays during the month of December (Dec.聽6, 13, 20).
The following time slots are available for booking:

Pay overdue fines online through your Library account
As of December 3, McGill Library users can pay their full fines balance online via credit card (Visa or Mastercard) through their library account. Users can also pay by phone by asking to speak to a supervisor who can receive payment by credit card. Visit our dedicated webpage for payment instructions or more information on overdue fines.

Coming winter 2021: Library single point of fulfillment for digital course packs & electronic course reserves
In order to make course materials more affordable for students and to streamline the course pack creation process for faculty and instructors, McGill University has transferred responsibility for all course readings to the McGill Library. As of January 2021, the McGill Library will be the single point of access for course-related materials including digital course packs.
