Who has access to our services? The eligibility requirements depend on your student status.
Undergraduate and Graduate Degree Students
All full-time, part-time, visiting, and exchange degree students at McGill are eligible to use all of our services, including , free of charge.
If you are not currently enrolled, or are planning to transition in or out of studies, please visit Student Services Fee website for information on services available to you.
What access do I have after graduation?
- After graduation:ÌýAlumni* can continue to use most of our services and the public area of the CaPS website for free up to one year after the end of the last semester in which they paid their Student Services fees. (For example, if April 2021 is your last semester, you will have access to the services till April 2022).
*Recent alumni have access to all of our services except the Mentoring, Job Shadowing, and Micro-Exp Programs.
**There are 3 terms per academic year. The timeframes of these terms are:
- September to December
- January to April
- May to August
School of Continuing Studies Students
Continuing Studies (CS) students who wish to access CaPS services may opt-in to Student Services (as a package) if they are registered for 9 credits or more in the current term. For more information on how to opt-in and pay the fee: Student Services Fee
Post-Doctoral Fellows
All post-doctoral fellows are eligible to use all of our services, including , free of charge only while you are enrolled at McGill.

McGill Alumni
McGill Alumni who graduated with either a Bachelor, Masters or Ph.D. degree are eligible to have access to the career and engagement platform free of charge.
What access do alumni have?

The following organizations outside McGill also provide employment services similar to McGill CaPS.
This is an English-language service provider that has been helping Quebecers find employment and start their own businesses.Ìý Services include: workshops and consultation to young adults (ages 16-35), entrepreneurs and artists.
