On Tuesday, November 26, 2024, HBHL hosted a Mentorship Lunch that brought together experienced industry professionals and over 40 McGill graduate students, postdocs and postgrads over coffee and lunch at the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship. Mentors shared about their experience navigating the workforce and engaged in lively roundtable discussions with the mentees. Topics ranged from academia-industry collaborations and social innovation to technology transfer, medical affairs, scientific entrepreneurship and operational management.
New funding program launching for undergraduate students
Healthy Brains, Healthy Lives (HBHL) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2024 HBHL Undergraduate Summer Research Internship. Created in collaboration between HBHL and the HBHL Trainee Committee, this opportunity aims to include students at all levels in brain health research, providing McGill undergraduate students with a hands-on research experience.
In collaboration with Prof. Kelome and our Committee on Equity, Outreach, and Student Well-Being,the Department of Mathematics & Statisticswill be hosting a virtual Career Event on Friday, February 18 from 5-7 PM EDT. We have invited several McGill Alumni to speak about their experiences working in industry. The panel includes participants from various fields, including finance, business management, and software/web development.
To ensure that inter-faculty transfer students receive all of the information they need to start their first semester in the BA degree, OASIS will be hostingAdvising Information Sessions for Inter-Faculty Transfer Students.
This is a great opportunity to meet with Arts OASIS advisors, learn about theBA degree requirements, and ask any questions you may have!
