The Office of the Vice-President, Communications and Institutional Relations ensures the administration of CIR’s teams, and supports the Vice-President’s objectives and day-to-day activities.

Integrated Strategy and Planning

Integrated Strategy and Planning (ISP) creates strategic communications and marketing plans to engage McGill’s stakeholders and raise the University’s overall visibility.

Integrated Communications

Integrated Communications coordinates communications resources and tactical capabilities, both within the Communications and Institutional Relations portfolio and across McGill.

Community Relations

Community Relations strengthens ties and nurtures harmonious relations between McGill and its neighbouring communities.

Institutional Communications

The Institutional Communications team provides strategic advice for communicating and promoting McGill’s leading institutional and academic research initiatives. We work alongside the general public, partners, stakeholders and media all over the world, and the entire McGill community.

Linguistic Services

We provide professional linguistic services to administrative units, faculties and departments as well as establish the official McGill terminology.

Government Relations

The Government Relations team ensures McGill’s visibility and influence with the governments of Montreal, of Quebec, and of Canada, in support of the University’s academic mission and priorities.

Graphic Design and Multimedia

The Graphic Design and Multimedia team delivers polished, creative products that add impact to your communications. Our in-house studios prioritize solutions that are innovative and simple, so that your ideas are articulated in a compelling format.

Digital Communications

Working closely with McGill’s Information Technology unit, the Digital Communications team develops and executes an integrated digital outreach and engagement strategy to promote McGill’s brand and support McGill’s mission.
