Growing ambitions
With renovated and expanded facilities located in the heart of downtown Montreal, including the Donald E. Armstrong BuildingÌýwhich opened in 2018, McGill Desautels is a home away from home for our students and faculty members.
In 2021, the Bensadoun School of Retail Management opened the retail innovation lab in the Bronfman Building to develop and test innovations in a laboratory store fitted with state-of-the-art technology.
In 2019, the Faculty launched the free online McGill Personal Finance Essentials, in collaboration with RBC Future Launch and The Globe and Mail. This bilingual course is open to all Canadians.

Our degree programs and courses in sustainability have been recognized for their innovative design, and the research interests of many of our faculty members focus on the economic, environmental, and social impacts of conducting business.
In 2021, researchers at the McGill Sustainability Systems Initiative called PIVOT to empower members of the Canadian business community to be more sustainable.
In 2020, our BCom program ranked 4th in Canada and our MBA ranked 14th globally by the Corporate Knights’ Better World rankings for addressing sustainable development and corporate social responsibility through teaching, research and practice
In 2019, the Desautels Sustainability Network received the Catalyst Award for Connectivity, Governance & Administration—the highest recognition at McGill for leadership in sustainability.
