Evening delivery startup hopes to expand quickly
BoxKnight is a new kind of delivery service. For an extra few dollars, consumers can have their packages delivered while they’re home in the evening. A text message lets them know that their goods are at BoxKnight’s warehouse, and asks when they’d like it delivered. Right now, it only works for online purchases at four Montreal-area retailers, but the company is already looking at expansion beyond the city limits.

For a Desautels alumna, the road to the Bermuda Bar was a bumpy ride
Alexis Haynes (BCom'08) had a degree from Desautels and a plan. Then life got in the way: in quick succession, her sister and father both fell sick, and her mother suffered a seizure that required brain surgery. Desautels alumnus Fadi Kassatly (BCom'95) has been promoted to senior VP for the Middle East and North Africa area of management consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton. He brings two decades’ worth of experience to the role, having worked previously as principal and VP at Booz, and as a management consultant at Deloitte. He also mentors B-School students and young entrepreneurs in the Middle East.

She comes to the job with almost 30 years’ experience in management, including over a decade in post-secondary education. She is a chartered professional accountant and certified as a fraud examiner and internal auditor.
