Biography:
Qihuang Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics, and Occupational Health at McGill University, where he leads the Statistical Genomics and Intelligence Learning Lab (StaGILL). His research emphasizes the development of innovative statistical and machine learning methodologies to address complex challenges in genetics and genomics, particularly in high-dimensional and noisy data. Dr. Zhang’s work applies to bulk and single-cell RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, and metabolomics, uncovering new insights into diseases such as Alzheimer's, COVID-19, and cancer.
