Radix magazine aims to be a voice of the many religious and cultural "roots" at McGill. Published about four times a year by MORSL, Radix is available online and on stands around both campuses. Each issue explores a theme from different spiritual and philosophical perspectives.

Any current McGill student can contribute to future issues of Radix. We accept everything from illustrations to poetry to photography to short stories to finger painting, as long as it is respectful to all identities and all traditions.

Radix Advisory Board Application

Would you like to be part of ¸é²¹»å¾±³æ,ÌýMcGill’s only student-centred inspirational magazine? 

Positions

  • Visual Arts Editor(s)

    • Solicits visual arts submissions for issues of Radix (such as drawings, photographs, paintings, video, etc.)

    • Supports other board members with design tasks as needed.
  • Written Word Editor(s)

    • Solicits text submissions for issues of Radix (such as personal and other essays, poetry, etc.)

    • Edits text submissions as needed to be publication ready.
  • Promotion and Events Coordinator

    • Strategizes how to effectively promote Radix and encourage other students to get involved. Creates and shares graphic designs and promotional blurbs according to MORSL’s communications protocols.

    • Organizes and facilitates launch parties, discussion groups or book club events in cooperation with other board members and MORSL.

Eligibility

You are eligible to apply if you are:

  • a current McGill student
  • interested in faith and or spirituality
  • connected to the campus milieu
  • interested in connecting and collaborating with other students
  • enthusiastic about literary and artistic expression and discussion around spiritual themes
  • familiar with print and online magazines
